Payment Options
When your preferred healthcare providers are in-network with your insurance company, it's a win!
I am currently in-network with the following insurance companies:
What if you don't accept my insurance?
If you have an insurance provider other than the 3 listed above, and you want to hire me as your therapist, you still have options.
Why don't you take my insurance?
There are multiple reasons why I might not be in-network with your insurance.
Can I still schedule with you?
Yes, of course!
What are the extra steps?
If you have Health Savings Account funds, you may use that to cover the cost of sessions.
If you have "Out-of-Network" benefits, you can submit a claim to be reimbursed for services you received with this provider.
You can pay out-of pocket and then file for reimbursement from your insurance company. Many plans will re-imburse you a portion of the cost related to Out-of-Network providers. You will want to check your patient portal to be sure. Once the process is started, it is about as simple as filing receipts with your Health Savings Account.
How do I do that?
-
Ask for a "Superbill" from your healthcare provider.
-
Sign in to your insurance portal.
-
Go to “submit a claim” & choose the appropriate service if requested (i.e. mental health)
-
Make sure you have the provider’s first & last name, tax id number, and your diagnosis & service procedure codes (these should all be listed on your superbill)
-
Choose “start new claim.”
-
Fill out the patient information.
-
Choose who you’d like to receive payment (you’ll choose “the insured” so you will receive the reimbursement)
-
Search for your healthcare provider. If they are not listed, you may enter it manually.
-
Your insurance provider’s FAQ section will likely tell how long it takes to process the claim, but it may take between 5-30 days.
